The firm of Yemi Dossou & Co was established with a mindset to nurture a law firm providing first class legal service with high premium on integrity. The firm has 4 lawyers in chambers comprising the Managing Partner, Yemi Dossou. 2 Partners: Akin Dosumu, Olurotimi Akisanya and an Associate: Iyabo Faith Obianwuna. Profiles Of Our Managing Partner, Partners & Associate 

Adeyemi Dossou    

He is the Managing Partner and founder of Yemi Dossou & Co.

Yemi Dossou is a solicitor & barrister of the Supreme Court of Nigeria. He has over 20 years extensive local and international experience in legal practice. He holds master of laws in Information Technology and Telecommunications Law from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow and is also enrolled as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales. Before formally setting up the firm of Yemi Dossou & Co, he had worked with leading law firms both in Nigeria and England, his last position was Managing Partner of Rosetta Thomas Solicitors in England. He has wide and extensive knowledge in our areas of practice. He is widely travelled and has attended several conferences both locally and internationally. 

He has also authored many papers, including: "MP3 file sharing technology only serves to illustrate the threat the internet poses to copyright owners. Is this a threat copyright law can survive?"; "To what extent should computer related crime be the subject of specific legislative attention?"; "Describing its roles and powers, indicate how effective you consider Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), the Nigerian regulatory authority has been in promoting a competitive telecommunications market?"; "To what extent can traditional principles relating to direct and indirect taxation based on the concepts of location, be adapted to accommodate e-commerce?";and; "The Privatisation and Deregulation of Telecommunications In Nigeria. He is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association, the Law Society of England and Wales   and the International Bar Association.

         

          Akin Dosumu

          He is a Partner in the firm.

          Akin Dosumu attended Lagos State University in Lagos, where he obtained an LL.B (Hons.) in 1988. He

          thereafter proceeded to the Nigerian Law School, Lagos and he was called to the Nigerian Bar as a

          Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria in 1989; he is also an associate member of 

          chartered Institute of Arbitrators and has been involved in litigation and property management. He is a 

          member of the Nigerian Bar Association. He has practiced with many law firms in Nigeria where he     

          represented individuals and corporate bodies in lower Court up to Court of Appeal.

 

          Consequently, upon joining Yemi Dossou & Co., Akin Dosumu is engaged in corporate legal practice, in 

          the area of corporate management, Legal Opinions, recovery and monitoring of debts, property and real 

          Estate law as well as arbitration and conciliation.

 

          Olurotimi Akisanya

          He is a Partner in the firm.

          Olurotimi Akisanya was called to the Nigerian Bar as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of 

          Nigeria in 1992, since then he had been involved in active legal research and litigation beginning from 

          many law firms in Nigeria and had represented individuals and Government establishments in lower 

          courts up to court of Appeal.

          Upon joining Yemi Dossou & Co., Olurotimi Akisanya has diversified his practice to include corporate

          legal practice in the area of legal opinions, recovery and monitoring of debts, as well as arbitration and 

          conciliation. Olurotimi Akisanya is a law graduate of the Lagos State University, Lagos.

         

       Iyabo Faith Obianwuna

          She is an associate in the firm.

          Iyabo Faith Obianwuna was called to the Nigerian Bar as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court 

          of Nigeria in 2007, since then she had been involved in active legal research and litigation beginning 

          from many law firms in Nigeria and had represented individuals and Government establishments in lower

          courts up to court of Appeal.

          Upon joining Yemi Dossou & Co., Iyabo Faith Obianwuna  has diversified her practice to include corporate 

          legal practice in the area of legal opinions, recovery and monitoring of debts, as well as arbitration and

          conciliation. Iyabo Faith Obianwuna is a law graduate of the University of Benin, Benin, Nigeria.
